         HCNJ has provided screening to more than 12,500 needy people from South Asian communities throughout

                 the state since its inception in 1998 and detected more than 4,000 chronic disease abnormalities

               ealth  Camp  of  New  Jer-
               sey  (HCNJ)  held  its  annual
        HHealth Fair at Sri Venkatews-
        wara Temple, Balaji Mandir Commu-
        nity  Center  in  Bridgewater,  NJ  on
        Sunday, July 14, 2024. More than 200
        people  participated  and  benefitted
        from various health screening and
        disease prevention, education and
        counseling services.
            Health  Camp  of  New  Jersey,  a
        non-profit  organization  under  tax
        exempt code 501© (3) has been or-
        ganizing these health fairs at this lo-
        cation to benefit needy people from
        the South Asian community since its
        inception in 1998.
            The health fair was open to all
        pre-registered  participants who are
        uninsured or underinsured to receive
        preventive screening, education and
        counseling for medical, dental and
        mental health disorders.
            The   comprehensive   health
        screening included blood tests, EKG,
        vision screening for  glaucoma  and
        diabetic retinopathy, physical exam-
        ination, cardiology evaluation, phar-
        macy and dietary counseling, various
        types of cancer screening and pre-
        vention education, women disorders,
        chronic diseases screening for dia-
        betes, hypertension, cardiovascular
        disorders and many other specialty
        services such as Reiki therapy and
        access to care services.
            The physicians, dentists, physical
        therapists, nurses and various spe-
        cialties of internal medicine, cardiol-
        ogy, oncology, hematology and allied
        health specialists such as dietary and
