Nine Straight Months of Crime
Reduction in New York City
Homicides, burglary, grand larceny, and grand larceny auto are all down year to date. And in
September, we also saw decreases in homicides, robberies, burglaries, grand larcenies, and grand
larceny autos. Additionally, transit crime is also down year to date. It was down 8.7 percent in
September, down 4.8 percent for this quarter, and is down 5.1 percent year to date
delivered services to over 500 people.
