Asian seniors, is excited to announce
its 2024 Gala for SACH (Truth) this
October.
In the presence of honorees
NYC Speaker Adrienne Adams, DJ
Rekha and Kamla Motihar, the event
will mark a show of support for New
York’s South Asian and Indo-Carib-
bean elder community. New York
State based Guru Krupa Foundation,
a supporter of India Home will be
recognized and honored at the Gala.
America’s First Michelin-Starred
Indian Chef, Hemant Mathur, will
curate a specially crafted menu for
the event offering a unique culinary

India Home has been a trusted
resource for seniors and their fami-
lies for over fifteen years, offering a
wide range of support to promote in-
dependence, dignity, and well-being.
Padmini, a senior who joined India
Home two years ago, shares her ex-
perience: “Since joining India Home,
my life has completely changed. They
offer yoga classes every day and
plenty of opportunities to exercise.
There’s a big variety of programs,
ranging from cultural to informative.
We take every festival and holiday as
an opportunity to celebrate.”
India Home is currently fund-
raising to renovate their space, which
will further validate and support the
South Asian and Indo-Caribbean
elder community. Deputy Director
Shaaranya Pillai notes the impor-
tance of the South Asian Commu-
nity Home (SACH), “Our vision for
SACH is a state-of-the-art space to
centralize and expand the life-affirm-
ing programs we provide for South
Asian elders. We need our commu-
nity’s support to bring the vision to DJ Rekha
fruition, now more than ever.”
