he Oscars Gala hosted by
American Multi-Ethnic Coa-
tlition on Feb 19, 2022 was the
glittering event which recognized the
extraordinary work done by Mr. Anil
Loomba, especially during the chal-
lenging time when Covid 19 was rav-
aging the world. Bestowing the Gold-
en Eagle award on Mr. Anil Loomba,
Cook County Board President Toni
Preckwinkle lauded him for his gener-
osity and business acumen to accom-
plish timely delivery of oxygen cylin-
ders and concentrators to hospitals in
India which were struggling to serve
the hundreds of thousands stricken
with Covid. This was in addition to
his and his family’s generous dona-
tions to United Punjabis of America
toward its drive for Chicago area food
banks and food pantries. Among the
many dignitaries at the Gala were US
Congressman Danny Davis, US Con-
gressman Bill Foster and US Con-
gressman Raja Krishnamoorthi.
These noble actions by Mr.
Loomba came as no surprise to those
who have followed his meteoric rise
in the business world with a parallel
increase in his support for charities in
the US as well as in India.
