he Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy
(RSCP) has been approved by the New Jer-
tsey Board of Pharmacy as the first charita-
ble pharmacy in the state of New Jersey. “We are
writing history as we work toward actualizing our
mission to increase access to medications, immu-
nizations, health education, and pharmacy services
for uninsured and underserved patients, to reduce
clinical and social health inequities in our commu-
nity,” said a statement from RSCP.
“We are so thankful and moved by the efforts
and willingness to work alongside individuals unit-
ed by a shared vision to set a precedent for our
state; a precedent that should have been there all
along. Our impact will undoubtedly extend beyond
just our immediate mission and vision; we are pav-
ing a new path altogether that, with time, will in-
spire others to do the same,” the statement added.
“Please join us in ensuring that RSCP not only
serves the intended community, but also ignites
subsequent changes across that state by paving a
new road. We are creating a brand-new possibili-
ty in a sphere dominated by ineffective and long-
standing norms.”
