         Protest by a tiny group fails to evoke community response

                 hile the officials of Edison Township
                 and community leaders were speak-

        Lankey, some of his detractors were demon-
        strating outside. Lead by Peter Kothari, who
        is a known as a “flip-flop” for changing loy-
        alties to parties depending upon what suits
        him from time to time. Kothari had called
        everyone in town to join his demonstration
        outside Mirage and was joined by Mahesh
        Bhagia, the current Chairman of Edison
        Democratic  Organization  and  his  brother
        Raj Bhagia, Edison School Board President
        Jerry Shi and Satish Poondi. With about 12
        persons from Asian community and about 15
        members from Indian community, Kothari
        and others failed to evoke any response to
        their appeal despite motivated and aggres-
        sive calls to thousands in Edison.
            A visibly hurt Mayor Lankey said that
        former Chairman of EDO, Shariq Ahmad,
        who was also demonstrating outside, had yet  had helped Shariq Ahmad with such funds  2017, which has rocked Edison since then.
