in any of the four major sports. Arjun Nimmala is an American professional ors with President Gold Medal
baseball shortstop in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He is ranked third on
Major League Baseball’s 2023 Top 30 Blue Jays prospects list.
Nimmala primarily played cricket but his father enrolled him up for Little
League. Arjun Nimmala quickly fell in love with baseball and aspired to be a
pro from a young age. He became a standout shortstop at Strawberry Crest
High School in Dover, Florida.
The 6 feet 1 inch tall player can easily drive the ball to all sides of the
field and shows signs of great power to come as he ages. During 77 games in
high school, he only committed 15 errors while stealing 31 bases. The future is
bright for this young slugger. If he can develop into the player many believe he
can, he will leave a last impression on the game.
Speaking about his latest achievement of joining the MLB, the young play-
er said, “It was always a dream of mine to play Major League Baseball ever
since I knew what the MLB was. It’s a dream come true. I hope I play well
enough for them to really watch me, like how Japan stopped and watched Sho-
hei Ohtani in the WBC. I hope they pay attention, that’d be so cool. I just want
them to watch and be proud of what we Indians can do,” the player shared.
