        New York State Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar said generations of school children in New
                 York will know what Diwali is when they get a holiday for the festival.   AIA-NY President Beena Kothari thanked celebrity designer Prashant Goyal and his models

          A half-hour devotional Kirtan Concert was presented by Bhakti Marga devotees. Standing
               behind the performers are Beena Kothari, Neha Lohia, and Dr Tarun Wasil.

         An estimated 5,000 people visited the celebration throughout the day, as per the organizers.  Children, young adults, and adults gave colorful classical and folk-dance performances.
