Indian Seniors of Chicago celebrate
Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day

Seniors of Chicago was held
Ton 12th August at Mahal-
akshmi Hall of Manav Seva Mandir.
More than 240 members attended
the meeting which was conducted by
Professor Sharad Shah.
Jyotsna, Nilam, Panna, Geetha
and Bhupendra sang Ganesha Stu-
ti and Sarva Dharma prayers at the
beginning. Then all members recited
Shri Hanuman Chalisa in the group.
Treasurer Mr. C V Desai presented
the income and expenditure account
for the month of July and announced
the names of the individuals who had
donated to the organization. Mr. Dil-
ip Patel, member of the Executive
Committee, provided information
about annual entertainment pro-
gram of the organization to be held
in December 2023.
Mrs. Geeta Suthar lead the Rak-
sha Bandhan program celebration.
Hasu, Ilaben, Kokila, Panna, Nayana
and Geetha tied Rakhi to Chandra-
kant Patel, Chiman Patel, Kanu Pa-
tel, Baiju Mehta, Hasmukh Patel and
Deepak Patel. Bhupendra Suthar
recited Raksha Bandhan blessings
in Sanskrit. Bhupendra Suthar and
Mrs. Panna Shah sang ‘Bhaiya Mere
Rakhi Ke Bandhan Ko Nibhana’.
The Independence Day of India
was celebrated in a grand manner.
