In his message to members, Dr. Chakrabarty de-
scribed the Tampa convention as “the crowning jewel
of everything we’ve built together,” emphasizing that
“the event will blend scientific excellence, cultural
celebration, and national pride. The timing is espe-
cially meaningful: the convention coincides with the
250th anniversary of America’s independence, and
AAPI has partnered with the City of Tampa to mark
the milestone with a redcarpet civic reception hon-
